Doris is extremely personable, and excited for an internship opportunity. She loves cooking in her free time, and one day wants to own her own business. She’s excited to gain Accounting experience, so that she can build her budgeting and financial strategy skills. A graduate of Deakin University, she has work experience as both a Café and Shop Manager. In those roles, she developed excellent communication skills, and she’ll be able to apply those skills to her internship effectively. 

Zain is a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Business (Majoring in Accounting) from the Melbourne Institute of Technology, that goes nicely next to his Bachelor of Commerce from Osmania University in Hydrabad, India. He possesses all the technical skills you would expect – he is proficient in both XERO and MYOB, can use Microsoft Office and has experience with QuickBooks. He developed these skills during his time completing an internship at an Australian company earlier this year, and while he worked as a book keeper as a family friend’s dental firm. 

Zain also has a host of soft skills that he has learnt and developed throughout his time as a Nandos Shift Manager. He has grown into this role over the last 4 years. Zain is in charge of the staff rostering, stock maintenance ensuring the daily sales targets are reached. He demonstrates excellent leadership, communication and time management skills to ensure the smooth running of the restaurant.

Zain is eager to start an internship as he wants to put all the skills he has into practice and become an asset to an Australian company. In his spare time, Zain is a self proclaimed table tennis champion who has represented his state in India.
 

Omkar has an excellent academic background, graduating from LaTrobe University with a Master of Accounting and Financial Management. There, he was the first Indian student to become President of the Student Union, as well as President of the Indian Students Club. He has worked his way up at a local Domino’s, from a Delivery Expert all the way to Store Manager. He excels in Financial Management and Accounting, Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management, which are the areas he is looking forward to pursuing in his career. With a great “can-do” attitude, and a very charismatic personality, there is no doubt he will succeed in his upcoming internship.

Michelle has strong communication skills gained through building rapport with clients from her previous work as a cashier. She has performed bookkeeping through XERO, and experience with other accounting systems, MYOB and SAP. Michelle engaged in an audit during her previous work experience as an accounting assistant, prepared audit working and related detail testing. She assisted with preparation of the BAS, expense claims, statutory financial accounts and related accounting and tax researches. Michelle is looking for an internship opportunity to develop accounting skills in the professional Australian workplace.

Constance is a recent graduate from The Holmes Institution, she has a Master of Business Administration, and a Master of Professional Accounting from The University of New South Wales. She is equipped with 2 years working experience within the service industry which has helped her develop excellent soft skills. Constance also has an array of theoretical knowledge across Accounting and Finance. Constance is currently looking to secure a placement within Finance and get a good understanding of what it is like to work within an Australian workplace. Constance is currently undertaking her CFA Level 1 and hopes to one day pursue a career relating to credit analysis.

Raj is a recent accounting and international finance graduate from Deakin University. Alongside his degree, Raj has showed his eagerness in pursuing a career in accounting years prior to his Professional Year course and studies here in Australia. He worked in two accounting roles in India. The first at UnitedLex BPO Pty. Ltd where he was an Accounts Associate where responsibilities included account reconciliations, journal entry, analysis on unidentified/unallocated payments and monthly accounts just to name a few. After this, Raj worked as an Accounting Analyst for The Royal Bank of Scotland in India for almost two years where he astoundingly completed over 200 vendor invoices daily, monthly reconciliation, audited the expense claims, processing of payments and expense reports. When he moved to Australia, he has worked for CBD Accountants for over 6 months preparing journal entries, annual and quarterly BAS statements, sales and purchases, payroll and bookkeeping. He is now looking for an internship at a reputable company in a challenging position where he can utilise his current skills in assisting the company’s needs. His professionalism and eagerness in the accounting field speaks for itself and is further strengthened by his technical ability in the use of MYOB, XERO, bookkeeping, banking, sales, payroll, BAS and MS Office applications. An Audit or Assistant Accountant position is Raj’s ideal internship experience, one where he would flourish and be an asset to any company.
